RTS has received its first 10 electric buses to add to its fleet! Below are some facts about electric buses.

Environmental Facts

• The annual reduction of greenhouse gas emissions by replacing one diesel bus with one battery electric bus: 90.5 Metric Tons.
• The annual reduction of greenhouse gas emissions by replacing 10 diesel buses with 10 battery electric buses is 905 Metric Tons.
• The number of personal vehicles it takes to generate 905 metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions per year is 197.

Battery charge and range in bus miles

• The typical charging time: 3-4 Hours
• The typical range of a battery electric bus is 110-190 Miles
