How to Sign Up

Sign up online or download the app through the App Store or Google Play.

Before you enroll, make sure to have your RTS Access ID, date of birth and your email address handy. 

After you sign up, you’ll receive a confirmation email to complete the process. Please check your spam filter if you don’t receive the email.

NOTE: Call Us to Schedule Supplemental Service Area

If you live in the supplemental service area, want to travel to the supplemental area or would like to book a same day trip, you will still need to call us to schedule a trip.   Please call 585-224-8330 and press option “3”.

What to Remember When Using RTS Access Ride Request

  • You can book up to seven days in advance to 5:00 pm the day before your trip day.
  • A trip is only one way for us, so if you book a round trip (for example, home to work and then work to home), remember to cancel both trips online.
  • Your trips are color coded!  Use the glossary in RTS Access Ride Request to see what these codes mean (for example, green means a trip is scheduled).
  • Once a trip is booked it cannot be changed. To make changes, you need to cancel the trip and book another trip.
  • Don’t forget the 20-minute window: RTS Access buses can arrive 5 minutes before your schedule trip and up to 15 minutes after.  When you book your trip, the timeframe is provided.  It is always a good idea to write it down.


  • After you enroll, you will receive automatic notifications.  These notifications include booking confirmation, cancellation confirmations and trip reminders. 
  • Notifications are both text and email.  Opt out of notifications by calling us at 585-224-8330, press option “3”.
  • If you download the app, you can also receive a push notification on your phone letting you know when your bus will arrive.  Please don’t forget that the 20 minute window still applies.
