Celebrating Women's History Month: Inspiring Words from Rosa Parks

March 08, 2017

One of the most well-known and admired women in American history, Rosa Park’s  story has been told many times, yet it is still worth revisiting as it encourages reflection on what it means to be a fearless advocate.

Parks refused to give up her seat to a white passenger on a Montgomery, Alabama bus on December 1, 1955. Her act of courage kicked off a chain of events leading to the desegregation of buses in Montgomery and a larger movement to end segregation of public facilities nationwide.

As part of our celebration of Women’s History Month, we are bringing you printable quotes from Rosa Parks. Let them be reminders of her fearless act that changed the world, and to inspire your own advocacy. Click on an image below to view a printable pdf, or download all three. Share one with your daughter, sister, mother, mentor or friend.
