To mark the upcoming start of construction, Regional Transit Service (RTS) broke ground today on its new facility in Orleans County. Construction of the new facility is set to begin the week of July 10 and is scheduled for completion in July 2018.

“This is an exciting day for RTS and public transit in Orleans County,” said Bill Carpenter, CEO at RTS. “The construction of this new facility will help our team make it easy for customers to enjoy the ride and fulfill our vision of becoming the preferred transportation choice. On behalf of the entire team at RTS, I thank Governor Cuomo for his leadership and support, Senator Ortt and Assemblyman Hawley for serving us so well in Albany, the legislators and staff at Orleans County for their dedication and continued partnership, our customers for their trust and loyalty, and our construction team for the skill and talent that is making this project possible.”

  • 3 bus maintenance bays;
